Royal Navy Recognised Unit 36
As part of Unit 36 we are an Explorer Sea Scout Unit recognised by the Royal Navy for our specialist activities and standards. We are honored to be one of only 105 Units to be affiliated with the Royal Navy.
We undergo an inspection by a Royal Navy Officer every 18 months to retain our long held recognition. With our affiliation, we are invited to national events at HMS Raleigh and HMS Bristol; we have access to extra funding from Scout HQ and the Royal Navy allowing us to continue our water activities.
Sea Scouts wear blue shirts, we also have the privalige of wearing the RN Recognition Badge to distinguish that we are a Royal Navy Recognised Unit.
